The work “Scarcylibrium”, composed of a cube that defies balance perched on top of a column, is the one of the latest creations of this storyteller of a particular version of the Dominican past.
In this work of art, daily life expresses itself once again, because far from being a simple balancing act, Georges transpose by this metaphor the complicated task that the vast majority of Dominicans face, that of reconciling their inner and spiritual life as every human being needs it, with the obligation to get shelter and food every day.
Hence this striking image of an unstable permanent equilibrium.
